 Some Sign Design Tips:

SIZE:
The sign must be large enough to be read
from the distance that is needed. One of the most
common reasons a sign doesn't work is that it is too small.

COPY:
The fewer words on a sign the better. No matter how big a sign is the
more words there are the smaller everything generally gets in order to fit.
Too much copy can be confusing.
Ultimately you'd like to get your message across in only a glance.
This is very important for signs that are to be viewed by moving traffic.

LAYOUT:
Your main message should be the largest words on the sign.
It should be the product or service that you are offering or you company name.
It's used to capture the interest of a potential client so that they will then
take time to read the rest of the sign.

TYPESTYLES:
The main message should be bold and easily readable for the most impact.
Too many different typestyles incorporated in to a single sign can tend to look
unprofessional.

COLOR:
The most easily readable signs have maximum contrast
between lettering colors and the background color. However, your
companies image is important and may not look good with bright colors.
